Wednesday Ramblings

My quote for this week.  I adore Dr. Seuss! (Source)

About a month ago I started writing a weekly post on Wednesdays and I called it Wordless Wednesday.  It all started when I found a quote on Pinterest that I wanted to share.  However, the posts turned out to be anything but wordless!  So today, the name has changed to Wednesday Ramblings which means that there will be words, the posts will be weekly and they probably won’t include a recipe but they will include me and the happenings of my life!

I have had an exponentially better week this week than last.  And for that, I’m so thankful!  I said it yesterday but I really can’t believe that Thanksgiving is one week away.   Which means Christmas is just over one month away.  Which scares me because I have not bought one thing.  But, while typing that, I got a little excited about pulling out our Christmas decorations!  Have you decorated yet?

I snapped this picture of Paul playing his guitar last night.  I bought him this guitar for Christmas last year.  I hate to brag but I pulled of a great surprise.  He had no idea; he actually thought that I was completely disgusted with the idea of having another guitar.  But with the help of his mom and uncle, I did it and I am so thankful every chance that I get to hear him play!

I just looked and there are 620 bloggers signed up for the Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap.  That’s over 22,000 cookies being sent all over the place.   This is going to be epic and I’m so excited about the cookies that I’ll be sharing!  They have been a holiday tradition in my family ever since I can remember.

I hope your week is wonderful! XO

I like your ramblings. They make me smile. My son has a guitar. Doesn’t play much with school though. I wish I could play an instrument of some sort. I played drums as a kid and had my own set, but I was really bad. Lol. I think it’s sweet you support hubby’s hobby. Have a great week Cassie!

Christmas decorations already? I’m actually very excited as my daughter started to practice Christmas songs for their class performance for the Christmas party and we started to sing Christmas songs at home. =) After Halloween my son has been talking about Christmas (what happened to Thanksgiving?) and we just wait and wait for getting tree.. haha. I’m happy there are someone else looking forward to it already. 620 bloggers! Wow. I am probably one of few who don’t bake cookies often. =P

The cookie swap is going to be terrific. I didn’t participate this year -my first year blogging, I’m not sure I can squeeze more in….but I’m thinking next year!
