Trying to keep this lighthearted today but I have one thing to say.  I sincerely hope and pray that I will live to see a day when we can work together, as One Nation under GOD, to create a place where everyone is proud to live and call home.  Regardless if the man for whom you voted won the election, I pray that we can work together to really accomplish things to move this country forward.  I have no idea how to do that so I will do my duty to vote and trust that the officials whom we elect do know how to do that.

But I believe, with my whole heart, that we, above all else, must trust God to be able to lead us to accomplish this.  We must turn our eyes and our energy toward Him and trust in His leadership, regardless of who is named our president.   I also believe that, regardless of who won the election, that we must respect all parties involved.

The whole earth will acknowledge the Lord and return to him.  All the families of the nations will bow down before him. For royal power belongs to the Lord.  He rules all the nations. (Psalm 22:27-28, New Living Translation)

I miss October! Hard to believe T-Giving is only a few weeks away! And I to pray that God will lead us down the correct path. Now more than ever, our nation needs to trust him.

Re: election, I agree. And regardless of who is in power, the laws of our country are thankfully not the laws that govern my life.

TOTALLY agree with your message girl! I don’t know why people are being so vindictive after this race. My boyfriend and I are literally on opposite sides of the political spectrum and somehow we manage to get along…so why can’t everyone else?

Seriously. Both gloating and angry pouting seems to be taking over Facebook today. Regardless, we still live in America. We still are going to have ups and downs and we still have a huge say in our own lives, regardless of who is president. Through out the history of time, no leader has ever fixed all of the problems, it doesn’t matter who is president, we still have work to do as a nation and as citizens. It’s important for us to respect ALL people, elected or not. We don’t get to pick and choose who we respect, every human being has earned the right to be respected by every other human being. How people treat others (including elected officials) says much more about them than who they voted for.

God was not surprised by the election outcome. My trust is Him and not in government, no matter who the president is or will be!

I know……I’ve been licking my wounds today, too. I volunteered almost full time for the Romney campaign. However, I believe – no matter who won – that we’re the UNITED States of America.

…and whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or the blog-o-shere, FRIENDSHIP trumps politics, every time!

    Hugs, girlfriend!

Your photos are gorgeous and your message is needed! Great remeinder for all of us! I have lived through many elections but for some reason this one seems to be the be-all-end-all for many people. I think we need to remember what is life is really about and that the person who is president is not our ruler. Following God’s leadership with faith, respect, love, wisdom and responsiblity for our own lives and to be an influence for good are what we should be about.
