Two Years & a Giveaway
Today. Today marks two years since the first time I pushed the ‘publish’ button. Two years. 373 posts. 16,000+ comments. 1 new camera. 2 new lenses. Countless pounds of butter, sugar and countless hours of Lightroom, Twitter and Pinterest. ———> Simply unbelievable.
In two years I have learned so stinking much! And I keep learning every day. And I love every single minute of it. And, thanks to YOU, I get to continue to do it.
So, to say thanks, I have partnered with our friends at Calphalon to give away one lucky Bake Your Day reader a Calphalon XL Digital Convection Oven. I used this oven to make my recent Cheeseburger Meatballs and we have used it nearly ever day since (except for the few days it was packed in a box!)
And as soon as it gets unpacked, it will proudly sit countertop in our new kitchen. Paul tore open the box as soon as he saw this oven – he loves it (as do I!) There are lots of reasons to love this oven. For one, a 9×13 pan fits in it. That is enough for me to be sold. But more than that, it has a crumb tray (hello, easy cleanup!), it heats up so quickly, and it bakes and toasts!
I loved this oven and I know you will too!

Love us some guacamole! A bit of dip with any veggie or chip…mmmm! Congrats on your two year anniversary!
I enjoy your posts…great job. Always enjoy the sticky wings before the big game.
My best tailgating memories are from when I was dating my husband. We’d take the train from Chicago to South Bend for Notre Dame football games. Sometimes we’d score a ticket inside and other times we hung out with my husband’s dad and his high school buddies who always had an elaborate setup in the parking lot.

My funniest memory of tailgating happened this past fall when it would start raining about every 30 minutes, but only last about 10 minutes each time. We unloaded and loaded our food back and forth so many times and ended up eating inside my jeep. Next year, we plan on having a canopy!!

Tailgating in San Diego at the Q. Ribs, Ribs and more Ribs would be my fondest memory. The tailgating crowd was always very impressive on Charger Game Days!! Weather was always warm and the fans were always die-hard foodies! Congrats on the 2 year Anniversary! Love, Love, Love your Blog! =)
My favorite tailgating memory is when I was with my dad & some friends as a child at the old Metropolitan Stadium for a Vikings-Bears game in the mid-to-late 1960s. We were grilling brats, burgers, etc. and my dad & his buddies had a cooler full of Grain Belt & Hamm’s beer. After the game, several of the Vikings players came by our tailgating area & my dad invited them to hang around for food & beer and they did. Spent a couple of hours eating & talking with them before they went on their way. Afterward, I found out that the players were all pretty big name players at the time. I had a blast but I think my dad and his buddies were the ones that really enjoyed it.
I have friends that are serious tailgaters and they bring their huge BBQ, smoker, and deep fryer! Yum! I think some awesome 7 layer bean dip would be on my tail gate menu!

Not the best memory, but one I will never forget. when it was game time someone put the hot habachi under their car to get it out of the way. The car dripped oil onto the habachi and started a fire. Firemen showed up (ok maybe that is the best memory) and only that car was damaged. My favorite tailgating food is anything that doesn’t need to be grilled.
