Trail Mix and a Road Trip

Food Blog Forum Seminar: Nashville, Tennessee I’ve been giddy with excitement for the last week.  I’ve had trouble sitting still today.  At 4am tomorrow I, along with the lovely ladies Bev of Bev Cooks and Carly of CarlyKlock are loading up and heading to Nashville for the Food Blog Forum.  I’m pumped to meet so many bloggers that I’ve virtually met over the last several months.

We are headed for beautiful weather, awesome food and incredible people.  This weekend might be epic.  And by might, I mean will most-definitely be epic. I’ve pulled out my sunglasses and my flip flops, this trail mix and am ready to have a blast.

Road Trip Trail Mix Recipe

1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup unsalted, roasted almonds
1/2 cup broken up dark chocolate (or chocolate chips...I added both!)
1/2 cup teddy grahams (or any other mix in you like)
1 double batch of my peanut butter granola (click here for the recipe: Peanut Butter Granola) or 1 cup toasted oats (cook in a non-stick skillet over medium heat for 6-7 minutes or until they are golden brown)

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until combined.

Store in an airtight container for up to one week.

Delicious combination. You have to have chocolate of some kind in trail mix!

This looks delicious…and healthier than a bag of Cheetos!
