Hawaiian Pizza Dip
I don’t even know what to start talking about today because I have SO much to share after not posting for almost two weeks. That’s a record, people. And it’s been killlling me. I miss telling you about my crazy, boring life. I miss cooking food for you and taking pictures of it.
The truth is that I have had this Hawaiian Pizza Dip dreamed up, cooked and photographed for about three weeks now and I just have had no time to edit and write. Work travel sandwiched my trip to Austin over the last two weeks. While I have missed blogging and tweeting and cooking, the time away has also been somewhat refreshing. It’s nice to take a step back, to get excited about it all again and to come back with a renewed energy.
And so why not jump back in with a hot, cheesy, ooey, gooey, pizza dip? I thought you’d be OK with that!
The pineapple-Canadian bacon combination is a favorite of my mom’s and of Paul’s and it’s a perfect pair for hot pizza dip. The base layer is a combination of cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, herbs, pineapple and Canadian bacon. It’s topped with pizza sauce, more fruit and ham and then topped with lots of mozzarella cheese, baked until golden and bubbly and I promise you have a crowd-pleasing dip on your hands…even in the middle of summer when it’s 100 degrees outside, this dip will be worth turning on the oven for!

Hawaiian Pizza Dip
Yield: 4 cups
Total Time: 30 min
Hot and cheesy pizza dip with a Hawaiian twist - Canadian bacon, pineapple and homemade marinara sauce!
Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups pineapple chunks, divided
6 ounces Canadian bacon, cut into cubes
3/4 cup pizza sauce (I used my homemade quick marinara)Directions:
Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a round pie plate or other shallow baking dish.
Mix the cream cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, oregano, garlic powder, half of the Canadian bacon and half of the pineapple. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Top with the pizza sauce, and sprinkle on the remaining pineapple and the remaining Canadian bacon and then top with the remaining cheese.
Bake for about 20 minutes, until the cheese on top is golden and bubbly.
Cassie's Notes:
If you aren't a fan of the "Hawaiian" pizza flavor combination, feel free to add in your favorite pizza toppings.I used my all-purpose marinara sauce for the pizza sauce layer. If you have some pizza sauce, or another favorite recipe, use it!
