Grilled Pizza

I don’t really have a new recipe for you today but a question:  have you ever grilled pizza?  Paul had the great idea to throw our homemade pizzas on the grill last weekend.  You should try it!  We used tortillas as the dough along with some pesto sauce, marinara sauce, various veggies and cheese.  He threw them on the grill for 7-8 minutes and they were wonderful…try this soon!

That’s all for now. 🙂

We just bought a new grill and I'm hoping to try pizza on it soon. Love the tortilla idea!

Oh my lord, my first grilling pizza experience was HORRIBLE haha! Really funny though. Suggestions..grill the dough some BEFORE you put the toppings on. I definitely did not do that my first attempt and it was a big ole mess! But once I learned to do that, pizza on the grill is so amazing I would eat it every week

This looks like a great idea for entertaining outside. Friends could just load up the tortilla the way they prefer and toss it on the grill. Here they sell packaged cooked tortillas and packaged tortillas that you need to cook-which do you use?

Hi Tina, I usually buy the cooked tortillas although, it might work better if we would have used raw dough, cooked it a bit, added our toppings and then cooked it the rest of the way. The bottoms of a couple of them got a little too done while we waited on the cheese to melt. Hope that helps! ~CL.
