Wednesday Ramblings | Ten Things I’ll Miss About Kansas City

ten things ill miss about kansas city

1. my favorite restaurants: Jose Peppers, BlancDrunken Fish & Lulu’s.

2. being close to my family.

coffee

3. coffee dates at our favorite neighborhood coffee shop.

4. Trader Joes & Quik Trip.

5. my friends.

view

6. the view from our loft.

7. our loft (the kitchen!).

8. this church.

9. KC BBQ.

walks

10. walks and talks with Ali.

I will miss all of these things and the people here dearly.  I knew great things are on the horizon for Paul and me and I know that we have tons to look forward to in our new city.

So, here are some things I’m looking forward to: our new house; a fresh start; a new church and new friends to meet; sunset from our new deck; finding new favorite restaurants and grocery stores and coffee shops.

I’m feeling so blessed.  Thanks for being here on this journey!

Oh, Cassie. Transitions are so hard because we can always so clearly see what we are letting go of, but we haven’t yet been given a clear understanding of what we are going to gain. It always reminds me of those trapeze artists, once they let go of one bar, but haven’t yet grabbed the next one. That middle space can be a hard place to live in. I’m excited to see what the next phase has in store for you :)

Cassie, I’ve moved A LOT in my life time and it’s always bittersweet. It’s sad to leave what & who you love behind, but very exciting to experience new things and places, and I love to meet new people. It’s also a blast to decorate the new digs!
