Wednesday Ramblings
This weekend Paul and I took a road trip. We drank coffee, we drove, we shopped, we drove some more, we ate, we met some cool people (more on that soon!) and then we ate some more. Including this ice cream come as big as my head:
This week is literally flying by. Heck, this month is flying by. A couple weekends ago I hosted a baking party and made tons of treats with my friends. By apparently we didn’t make enough because I have spent every second since I got home from work baking and cooking some more: chocolate covered pretzels, party mix, cookies, rice krispies. No complaining because I wouldn’t rather spend my evening any other way. But then I sat down at the computer and realized that my whole day slid by without a little rambling.
Something inside of me can’t let myself skip one of these posts. They are therapeutic in some way, I guess. And who doesn’t want to stare at that ice cream cone!
I did some shopping tonight for our Christmas dinner. The menu (Paul-requested) is this: ham, scalloped potatoes, green bean, baked beans, salad, rolls and cheesecake. I’m not sure if you can get much more classic than that. My parents will be joining us on Christmas day. Christmas eve will be spent at church and then with friends & tons of amazing gumbo. I can’t tell you how ready I am to celebrate the season.
Merry, merry Christmas & a happy new year to you. I love you all dearly!
We’ll see you there Christmas Eve. Or maybe not – we’ll be at 4 pm!
Love it, glad you were able to take a mini break. Thankful to know you! 🙂
That ice cream cone is insane!
I’m glad you had a fun (yet busy) weekend. It does really seem like time is flying lately!
