Wednesday Ramblings

All you have to do is taste it to understand.  Do you know what I’m talking about?  This deadly amazing cookie butter from Trader Joe’s.  Why did I not stick to my list and put it back on the shelf?  Well, I have no good reason. At all, really.  I’m such a sucker for raw cookie dough.  Who am I kidding, I love cookies in any form so why would I not love them in butter form?  Come to find out I do love them in butter form.  This stuff is de-lic-ious.  Which is actually an understatement.  I actually spread it on some of these cookies that I had left over.  Amazing, I’m tellin’ ya.

Speaking of these cookies, did you see that they were featured on Tasty Kitchen yesterday?  This might seem small to you but it’s a victory for me.  That was the first time and it totally made my day.  Each small milestone that I reach reaffirms the effort and work that goes into this blog.  I love everything about this tiny space of the web and I’m so blessed that I get to share my life with you and others!

I can’t put this thing down.  I love it more than I ever imagined that I would.  I am learning so much about photography and I’ve already found out that I’m more artistic that I ever thought that I was.  What a great tool it has already become!   Anyone else with me?

One last thought today:

Keep dreaming {and working toward your dreams}, friends!

Hey Cassie….how the Tasty Kitchen thing work?? Do you just blog a recipe & hope they feature it?? Or do they contact you first?? And it seems like they only feature recipes with step-by-step pictures? Is that right? Sorry for all the questions, but I don’t use Tasty Kitchen much!

Uh oh – i’m getting ready to hit up T Joe’s, and now I just have to pick up a jar – or 3 – of this cookie butter. Getting my camera last year was one of the most exciting moments I’ve had; I’m so happy you’re loving it!

I am soooo jealous. I hear everyone talking about the things you can get at trader Joes and the nearest one to me is 2 hours away. No fair! *pouts*

That’s awesome about the feature on tasty Kitchen! Great job, Cassie!

I love that quote – it’s so true. It’s the opposite of the “build it and they will come” mentality. Dreams take work. But that’s ok because hopefully the work won’t feel like work. OK. Now I’m rambling, but you get the point. Thanks for some inspiration!

    • Cassie replied: — December 15th, 2011 @ 2:14 pm

Thanks Marly! Another quote that I love is “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” While it’s probably not 100% true all the time, I love it anyway!

I love the quote 🙂 I teach seniors in high school and cannot wait to share it with them tomorrow. I think it’s so fitting for many of them and their crazy senioritis antics. Definitely planning a trip to Trader Joe’s around cookie butter alone. Dangerous!

I used to love Trader Joe’s for fun stuff like this (and the $2 bottles of wine!) It’s been about 5 years since I’ve lived in a city with one, but I do still miss it.
