Wednesday Ramblings | Signs of Fall

I’m not sure if I’ve told you, but autumn is definitely my favorite.  And it’s here.  Know how I know?  Well, I’ll tell you:

a-ma-zing Honeycrisp apples.

the temperature is low enough that an outdoor run can actually be enjoyed without sweating my face off.

oktoberfest.

pumpkin, apples, cinnamon, comfort food and more pumpkin are ALL over the place.  I am not complaining.

see also: healthy harvest chicken soup; butternut squash and caramelized onion flatbread and pumpkin-ale waffles.

I think you are probably, by now, convinced.  What has been your favorite sign that fall is here?

So just one more thought for today:

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me…I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.  [2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV]

His grace is enough.  I’m making that my prayer today.

Totally agree on jogging without dripping sweat! (Which reminds me, still need to go for my ‘morning’ run ;)

I’ve also been bookmarking and pinning so many fall/comfort food recipes, I’m never going to have time to try them all. Ha.

My favorite sign…probably the chill in the air that means it’s cozy boot weather again :)

I’m so excited about Fall’s arrival, too. The thing that makes me the happiest is the weather – cool + crisp in the evenings/mornings, but still warm + sunny during the daytime. Pure bliss, I tell you!

apple picking for sure, buttoning up my coat on those mornings when there is a little nip in the air. Not having to run the AC in our always stuffy NYC apartment. Smelling the breeze blowing off the east river in the evenings. Ok that was more than one, but still – autumn is the best.
