There Was Christmas

There was family.  My mom and I were laughing at this moment because she revealed that she was hoping for a baby announcement for Christmas.  She had no such luck.  Sorry, Mom!

There was a husband…

and a cute cat.

There was sangria for friends and celebration…

With lots of wine, local apple cider, brandy and fruit (for nutrition, of course!)

There was also wine reducing on the stove, Cabernet Sauvignon, our favorite.

There was wine on the counter.  Cassie = clumsy.

Then there was wine in my glass.  No tears over splattered wine…

Because then we had wine in butter.  Seriously, wine.in.butter.  Try it.

There was mouthwatering brisket.  I’m still salivating.

There was fellowship, pretty lights, love, more wine, laughter, relaxing, more eating and an amazing reason to be celebrating and so much to be thankful for.  I hope your Christmas was blessed.  I’m wishing you a healthy, happy, prosperous new year and looking forward to all that 2012 has in store for each of us.  xo.     Happy new year Cassie! Your pictures and snipits into your Christmas were fun. :) And why is it parents are always so eager for grandkids and always willing to be vocal about it? No pressure right? :)

    So glad you had such a good holiday!! My mom was unlucky in her wishes for a holiday baby too : )
