Strawberry Lemonade Popsicles
Well, half-marathon training is officially under way. I’m pooped from getting up early for workouts and my hamstrings are screaming to tell me that they definitely feel the added mileage. But overall, it’s going well. I’ve had good days and bad days but I’m pushing through! And can I say that you all know how to make a girl feel encouraged? All of the tweets, comments and emails have totally filled me up and I’m so grateful to have such a great community here.
Regardless of whether you are training or not, you should check out the 30 day Plank-a-Day challenge that has taken the blog world by storm lately. There is something about a goal – a start date and an end date – that is so motivating and I love being challenged by a large group of people.
And let’s be serious – even with all of this running and lifting and planking, I still love food underneath it all and I still have a teeny tiny colossal sweet tooth. And let’s also be serious – the average high this week is 93. I’m not complaining but what I am saying is that it’s popsicle time!
If you haven’t had any strawberries yet this year, I suggest you drop what you are doing and run to the nearest market and grab some. They are so.so.so.so.SO good. They taste like candy and I’ve been buying them pounds at a time. But last week I had a handful that were on their last leg and popsicles have been just calling my name lately.
So Strawberry Lemonade Popsicles came to life. And my mouth is watering right now just telling you about these popsicles. Completely sweet and perfecltly tart from the fresh lemon juice and what’s best is that they are extremely easy. Blend, freeze and enjoy. That’s my kind of summer treat!
Head on over to Imperial Sugar for the full Strawberry Lemonade Popsicle Recipe!

Congrats on your training! I wish we could run together! I run every day and it would be nice to have a buddy – and then eat popsicles 🙂
I need these immediately! We’re supposed to get to almost 100 degrees today, need a way to cool off.
I can’t believe I don’t have a popsicle mold!!! I need to remedy that immediately. Thanks for the plank shoutout!!! I’m so glad (and still so shocked) it spread like wildfire!! xoxo
Oh, I know those up and down training days all too well. But I always say that a bad run is so much better than no run at all (especially once it’s all done).
My kids love eating popsicles with their friends in our backyard, and I prefer to give them homemade ones, free of mystery ingredients. These would be perfect!
We have our freezer stocked with popsicles, frozen yogurt and ice cream! With this heat, it is necessary! I so need to get a popsicle mold!
Congrats on your training! I bet these thing are an awesome after workout treat! So refreshing!

Omagerd you’re doing a half marathon…that is so awesome! I just did my first 5k thinking that is my limit. Ugh running hurts. I’ve been doing the plank challenge too, I rather plank a 1/2 marathon than run it…is that possible?

It’s Winter in Australia and I am still craving cold things in front of our heater. I will have to stick with our chocolate ice cream at the moment. Strawberries are $9 for 250g!
