Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie Pie with Peanut Butter M&M’s
I practically ate this whole thing by myself. Please don’t judge. This is what I get for not buying things like M&M’s more often. When I do buy them, I lose all self control.
These M&M’s were an absolute impulse buy, at Target, in the checkout line, a split-second decision. That is, a fantastic split-second decision. They always know where to strategically place these things so that you have a hard time saying no. However I had no buyer’s remorse after getting these babies home. What is not to love about red, pink and white peanut butter M&M’s?
There is EVERYTHING to love about peanut butter M&M’s. Without a doubt, the sweet color just adds another dimension of awesomeness. I barely made it in the door with these before ripping the bag open.
So for a Valentine’s day treat for you, I made a big chewy cookie pie. But not just any cookie pie – a peanut butter oatmeal cookie pie. The outside is perfectly cooked and the inside is dense and gooey…exactly the way I like my cookies.
Yes, I tasted the dough and it was to. die. for.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie Pie with Peanut Butter M&M's Recipe
Yield: 8 slices
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
A gooey, chewy, peanut-buttery cookie pie
Ingredients:
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1 cup + 2 Tbs. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1/4 cup + 2 Tbs. peanut butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 heaping cup peanut butter M&M candies (or other mix in of your choosing)Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9-inch round pie plate.
Add the butter and peanut butter to a large microwave bowl and melt. Set aside to cool.
In a medium bowl, mix oats, flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
When the butter and peanut butter are cooled completely, mix in the sugars until combined. Add the egg, egg yolk and vanilla and mix well. Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
Spread dough into the prepared pan and bake for 30-34 minutes. The edges will be just browned and the center will be slightly firm but not fully set. Don’t over bake! Let cool completely before cutting.
Cassie's Notes:
If you don't have old-fashioned oats, quick-cooking will work wonderfully; I just prefer the texture of old-fashioned.This dough can easily be made into cookies. Drop by rounded teaspoon-full onto a prepared baking sheet and bake for 11-13 minutes.
If you don't have a round pie plate, use any square baking dish and cut into square pieces.
This would be divine with a scoop of ice cream on top, or so my husband says.

Wow, that looks absolutely amazing! I agree….m&ms are very dangerous to have around the house. So would this pie!
I was at walgreens in the checkout line too when i spotted the bin of those m&m’s..i couldn’t decide whether to get the pb ones you used or the dark chocolate ones. I got the dark chocolate ones but I love that you and I think alike. i can’t wait to share the recipe on Monday! I could eat this entire pie myself too, but obviously we would share cause that’s what we do best 🙂 looks great, Cassie!
Ooh that looks amazing Cas! I love peanut butter and oatmeal anything so I’m sure this pie is to die for. Great post!
I don’t blame you. I think I would have eaten that entire thing myself too! It looks so oaty and peanut buttery! Mmmm! 😀
Ha ha, I have a couple bags of these babies stashed away in the pantry. 🙂 I can’t resist pink, red, and white pb m&m’s! This pie looks amazing! I have to try it!!!
This is awesome! I have those exact same M & Ms I used in a deep dish choc chip cookie and I loooooove oatmeal cookies. This look so right up my alley!
be still my beating heart! for real – this looks DIVINE! i love oatmeal + p.b. together, + the M+Ms just make it even better. yum!
Feed me? Coo…coo…
This looks absolutely divine!
I’m the same way–I rarely buy junk food or candy, so when I do, I have ZERO self control. I’ve finally learned to only buy the small bags. In the store I say “I’ll get the big one and freeze it.” Nope, never works.
Happy V-Day to you & yours! 🙂
But it has oats in it so it’s kind of healthy right? And I totally know what you mean about them strategically placing that stuff. I snagged the giant Reeses heart the other day the same way.
What a perfect dessert for Valentine’s coming up, I love this Cassie! 🙂
This is RIGHT up my dessert alley…yum! I love the peanut butter m+m’s, they’re so much better than the whole peanut version!
Those impulse buys at Target are my favorite. Because they result in cookies like THIS one, riiiight here!
This looks so delicious, I had some peanut butter M&Ms the other week but now I’m really regretting not making them into a cookie!
I think if I made this I’d eat the entire pie myself, oops!
This looks JUST perfect 🙂
WHOA. This looks amazing! And yea, I think I have to agree that M&Ms are always a good decision. Wonderful recipe, Cassie, and great photos!
I could seriously do the exact same thing! I want to eat the whole thing. And I would LOVE it!
That looks amazing! Looooove peanut butter and oats 🙂
Oh, Cassie, I’d have no self control with this in the house, either…it looks just incredible! And I’d love a couple spoonfuls of that amazing dough, too~
That looks amazing. I would have eaten the whole thing too 🙂 and it looks like you are getting some pretty great light in that new kitchen of yours!
I won’t judge you one bit… because I would have polished the entire thing since chocolate and peanut butter are my favorite dessert combo! 🙂 This looks fantastic and I love that you added oats to it. I have been trying to incorporate more oats into my baking (so I feel less guilty eating a bigger portion). This looks like a wonderful dessert! Have a great weekend!! ~ Ramona
Saw this on Pintrest! Looks amazing!!!!!
WOW!!! My hubby would go insane over this, sounds AMAZING:-) I would never judge on eating the whole pie, I have almost eaten all of my cherry cordial brownies, LOL!!!! Hugs, Terra
What a fabulous, fabulous recipe! I saw this on FB this morning but I have been busy all day but couldn’t wait to see what this was all about! I am totally craving this now!
I love oatmeal snacks..these bars are even better with peanut butter and M&M.
I’m completely obsessed with peanut butter M&Ms. I’ve been trying to come up with something to bake them into. This looks perfect.
Oh my! Must totally give this a shot! Looks amazing. 🙂
I’ve never seen a dessert like this and I was just planning a school vacation lunch for “the girls”, will have to make this. I’m staying with a Valentine theme for lunch because it will still be February so it’s those pink candies for me!Thanks for the inspiration.
Judge? Are you kidding!? I would eat 2 of those!! Cassie, this pie looks heavenly! Mmm Mmmm!
Peanut butter M&Ms are my absolute favorite! This pie is so cute and I would literally eat the entire thing as well! I love oatmeal and peanut butter together and it look so ooey gooey! YUMMY!
I made almost this exact same thing as cookies last Valentine’s Day! I imagine the pie form is equally amazing. High five impulse buy 🙂
So Cassie….how do you feel about peanut butter? LOL! This looks scrumptious! The next best thing to oatmeal in my book is peanut butter! Sometimes those impulse buys happen for a reason! Those valentine peanut butter m&m’s are just perfect for this recipe which is just….well….perfect! : )
I’m not judging Cassie! Looks amazing–love oatmeal and peanut butter together!
I can resist all M&Ms except the Valentine’s Day ones for some reason! Something about pink ones get me every stinking time! I’d be allover that dough…
Seriously in love. I love cookie pie, and this one looks AMAZING!!
These are going to have to get added to the “must bake” list!
Eeeeppp, I have such a weakness for M&M’s too, especially ones of the peanut and peanut butter variety! My husband wants me to leave a bowl out of them like his mother does, but I know what will happen if I do that, I will eat them ALL! This pie looks really good!
Mother of all things holy, I am not sure I can go another day without eating this. You know I am peanut butter obsessed, but add oats, and m&m’s….heaven! I am trying to figure out a way to make a small version of this, and not share (and not gain 20 pounds in the process)
Cassie- this looks sensational. I love peanut butter m&ms and any type of dessert with oats in it! i am saving this recipe- it looks too good to be true! 🙂
WHAT. Are you doing to me. No seriously. Areeee you kidding right now. I need to leave my office and bake this rightthissecond.
Dying.
I think I died! YUM!!!!
