Salted Pretzel Rolls

salted pretzel rolls

It’s probably about time I shared these pretzel rolls with you.  Does time just fly on by or what?

When we visited Paul’s family for Thanksgiving (yes, all the way back to Thanksgiving), we missed the main meal but walked in just in time for leftovers and just in time for Paul’s Aunt Marion making her homemade pretzel rolls.

I’m a huge fan of soft pretzels and I love sandwiches and why had I never thought to serve a sandwich on soft salty pretzel rolls?  Genius, I am telling you.  Especially genius on leftover holiday turkey and ham.  Also perfect for your favorite grilled cheese.  Did you know it’s National Grilled Cheese month?

This recipe is simple – bread flour, yeast, a little sugar; let it rise; portion it out; boil ‘em; salt ‘em; bake ‘em; enjoy ‘em.

Confetti Popcorn (for Julie!)

Confetti Popcorn

We could talk about two things today.  We could talk about my ridiculous, out-of-control popcorn obsession.  Or we could talk about how it’s Julie‘s wedding month!

Let’s go with the latter!  Yes, our friend Julie is getting hitched this month so a few of her blogging friends got together to throw her a little surprise virtual bridal shower, complete with amazing treats!

I, um, chose popcorn.  Should I be sorry?  Because I’m not really.  Even though I just shared a popcorn recipe last week. This one is different.  And dare I say it’s better?  I mean, we are talking sprinkles.  And white chocolate.  ON POPCORN, friends.

Cinnamon Sugar Cinnamon Chip Donuts

Cinnamon Sugar Cinnamon Chip Donuts

Cinnamon-sugar.  One of those nostalgic flavor combinations that I could probably eat every day and not tire of it.  Donuts.  I’m pretty sure I cannot eat them everyday without my pants getting too tight.

But seriously, sometimes you just wake up on a snowy Sunday and need a cinnamon sugar donut.  Am I the only one who does that?  And while you are at it, you probably need to go ahead and throw in some cinnamon chips.  Let’s be real: those little morsels make lots of things better.

Cilantro-Lime Popcorn

Cilantro-Lime Popcorn
If you ask me what my favorite snack is, I will most-likely tell you that it is popcorn.  I’ve even been known to call it a suitable meal.  Seriously, it is!  It’s a whole grain, at least.  (Just don’t tell anyone about the added butter & salt!)

This weekend I found myself with an abundance of fresh cilantro on hand.  Most people either love it or hate it, yes?  I fall into the “love” category.  Like, absolutely, always-on-hand, put-it-in-everything, l.o.v.e.  My first thought was to make some Chipotle-like cilantro-lime rice to blog about but found out that a lot of people have already done that.  Instead, I started brainstorming other ways to use this fun flavor combination.
