Strawberry Crumble

You guys.  It’s strawberry season!  I’ve been shoveling them in my mouth by the handful.  They are so good already.

But instead of just posting some pictures of some really beautiful strawberries, I decided to make you a crumble.  I’m beyond a fan of fruit crumbles.  Actually, top anything with an oat-brown sugar-cinnamon topping and I will inhale it.  I love the way fruit bakes up and contrasts with the texture of the crumble topping.

Milk Bar Monday – Cornflake-Chocolate Chip-Marshallow Cookies

We spent the weekend at the lake.  It was so relaxing.  You can see why here, here and here.

But last week, before we left, I had a small case of the blogging blues.  I didn’t want to cook, didn’t want to take my camera out of the bag, and really had no interest in baking cookies (gasp!)  If you blog, you probably know what I’m talking about.  However, I knew that I needed to get these cookies completed because I wouldn’t have time after our lake trip to get it done.  So I (sort-of) plowed through.  And I learned some lessons.

You know what I love?  I love sunshine.  I love it when the sun shines into the evening.  I love getting home from work and taking a walk or jog in our neighborhood.  I love it that, after that walk or jog, that I can make dinner and still have some daylight to take pictures of it.

Wednesday Ramblings

If yes, then you are in luck, Kristan and Shelly of That’s What We Said had me rifle through my bag and share it all with you.  I promise you I’m kind of boring but I reveal three obsessions that I have.  Do we share any?

It’s National Chocolate Chip day (I know this thanks to Averie, check out her roundup!)  So here are some of my favorite chocolate chip recipes, most of which are white chocolate, because I prefer it to milk or semi-sweet so I am saying that today, it counts.  Some of these are from my early days so don’t judge the photos!
