Life Lately
Let’s talk Wednesday Ramblings. Have you missed them over the last couple of weeks? I honestly thought I wrote those for myself and a couple of family members who read my blog but a some of you have actually emailed, tweeted and commented asking where they have gone. I really miss them too!
The truth is, my inspiration is in a bit of a valley right now. I was talking to a great friend and she reassured me that it is OK to experience “blogging block”. Like any creative job, there will be times of heavy inspiration and creativity and there will be slumps. So this is me, riding out the slump.
In lieu of a Wednesday Ramblings, I’m instead sharing some shots from my life lately. Lately I have just been trying to figure out my life – what I’m supposed to do, what I want to do and how to do it! But we’ve been having fun exploring, too. Wednesday Ramblings might not continue to be on Wednesdays every week; they might not be called Ramblings; but I promise to continue to share bits and pieces of my life like this – it is one of my favorite parts of blogging!
I’ve been in the same boat lately and have ceased sharing my project 365 posts, but need to get back to it. So happy you did one of these posts again, friend!

Thank you, friend. Your encouragement means a ton to me! Hope to see a project 365 post soon!
I’m in a similar place. I feel like it’s a bit of a holding pattern. Unsure of the future, unsure of what I’m supposed to be doing. It’s tough to explain…just sort of a restlessness in the waiting. I’m trying to embrace this season though and just enjoy each day as it comes. Tougher than it sounds. 🙂 Thanks for sharing life with us!

Yes – restless waiting, exactly! Thanks for being here and for your encouragement!
Maybe it is the time of year or something, because I have been struggling as well! Glad to see you are enjoying life, and having fun!

Thank you so much, Kathryn!
I think it’s ok to have writer’s block and I’m glad you are back with this series 🙂
Cassie replied: — April 18th, 2013 @ 7:30 pm
Thank you! Just trying to remind myself it’s OK.
I think we all hit this point at some time or another. Hang in there and I can’t wait to see what you have in store.

Thank you, friend, you are wonderful.
Yay, I always love your ramblings :). Whenever I’m feeling uninspired, I remember this quote: “Taking time to live life will only inspire your work.” It’s amazing where inspiration can come from!

That is so great, Laura, thank you for sharing!
Sounds like a lot of us are feeling unmotivated. I think it’s the time of year. I’m still recovering from all the Easter posts AND the weather is gorgeous, so I just want to be outside and play. Your pictures aren’t helping! Ha. So pretty.

I think you are so right about the weather! Thanks, Amy!
Thanks for sharing Cassie. Love hearing and seeing what’s going on in your life. Miss you friend!

Let’s do! Hope you are doing well this week!
What a beautifully honest post, Cassie. I get in slumps like that too… but they eventually fade. Just enjoy life by doing what feels good in your heart and makes you happy. xx

Thank you, Ashley!!
Thanks for the honesty, friend. Slumpy places are no fun, but I know you’ll find some inspiration soon! In the meantime, just be patient with yourself, and give yourself the freedom to just be you. We love you just that way!! 🙂
Cassie replied: — April 18th, 2013 @ 7:27 pm
You are the best, truly!
Love this post, my dear. I totally hear you when it comes to having those slumps… but the quote Laura (Tutti Dolci) shared is exactly what I aim to do in those times. It’s how you’ll find your inspiration again (and you will! :))

Thank you, Stephanie! You are wonderful!!
I DO love the Wednesday Ramblings, Cassie – but I can completely relate to the writer’s block. In the meantime, how great is your new deck!? The view is fantastic!
Cassie replied: — April 18th, 2013 @ 10:21 pm
You are awesome! And yes, the view is fantastic. Wish we could chat on the deck over a cup of coffee!
I hope you get out of the blogging block soon! If anything I could always send you a batch of cookies for inspiration 🙂
Happy to see all this beauty in your life! I’m sure the block will pass and you’ll find clarity – wishing you patience in the meantime!
Cassie hang in there! Your inspiration will be back before you know it! In the meantime enjoy that beautiful weather it looks like you are having and maybe eat some cookies or ice cream or may a cupcake!
