Life Lately
…has been amazing. Somewhat crazy, but truly amazing. I started a new job, which I am really enjoying. We have taken multiple road trips which led to one of the most amazing Memorial Day weekends which included hearing the band that played our wedding reception, celebrating the wedding of my beautiful cousin, Erica, and spending some down time with tons of amazing food and family at the lake.
I could use another weekend like that.
I picked these from our backyard. Do you say “pe-oh-nee” or “pe-uh-nee”? I go back and forth because I just don’t know.
Paul’s uncle’s band which played for our wedding reception. Love these guys!
And as usual, Paul ended up on stage.
These boys.
Love this guy. To pieces.
My beautiful family.
Memorial day is not complete without one of these.
Sunset boat ride.
My mom shared this with me, remembering my Grammy. I miss her every day!
I hope your summer has kicked off to an amazing start…I can’t wait to see what it brings!
And with all of this life-living I have been doing, I have not been spending much time in the kitchen. However, I know my priorities are in order and I promise to cook and share whenever I get the chance!
This makes me so happy. Love and miss you and Paul, and am so excited to see the ways that your new town is becoming like “home”. 🙂
Love these snapshots into your life.
Beautiful post! Love these normal life moments that are actually really special. Have a great week!
You and hubby are so adorable. 🙂 And I love how close you are to your family. Its so great to see pictures and see all the fun things you do together!

and i see you have mrs. meyers!! i’m so addicted to their stuff. i have the rhubarb right now and i wash my hands SO much just because i love the smell.
I enjoy these posts just as much as the food ones. So glad you are truly enjoying life at the moment. That’s what matters.
Love this post so much! I agree with Sommer that life’s everyday moments are truly the most special. As are peonies, no matter how you say it. 🙂
I love peonies, so pretty! I always enjoy these snapshots of your life :).
Love! I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying your new day job 🙂
Congrats on your new job! How exciting!
Cassie, thank you for sharing your pictures and your heart. I am so happy for you. Glad you like your job! I always wish you great joy.
So happy to hear you’re doing well! Those flowers are GORG!!!
I love your life posts! And I’m so glad you like your new town, but you are the kind of girl that will figure out how to love any town you’re in which is why I adore you 🙂
When are we going to meet and hang out? ‘Cause I’m pretty sure we’d be great friends. 🙂
Peonies are one of my favourites! Lucky you for having some in the garden!
Well, you know what they say…”Life is what happens when you’re too busy doing something else.” The kitchen can wait!
Wow, what a weekend (and those peonies – my god). You look so beautiful and happy, Cassie!
Girlfriend, you are blessed! And, congrats on the new day job! Being grateful will always bring you more blessings. Thank you for sharing your snapshots and snippets. Love them all. You and your guy look so happy together and make such a sweet couple! (I’ll never forget the story of his proposal to you…in the boat he built.) God will always show you the way! xo
Sounds like such a fun weekend and those flowers are gorgeous! No stunning! I Love flowers!
Congrats again on the job! You look so happy!
I’m glad to see that you are out enjoying life to its fullest!
It’s all about keeping your priorities straight. I think I need to do a little more living!
I am loving all of your photos, especially the lake photo. We were robbed out of Memorial Day weekend (50’s and raining) so I am desperate for that first weekend at the lake!! Can’t wait to see you soon. 🙂
Those flowers are gorgeous! Lucky you that they’re in your yard!
looks like you are having an awesome start to the summer! I hope the rest of it is just as great.
I’m glad to see you so happy in the new job and with family! that’s the good stuff 🙂
Peonies are my favorite!!! Those are STUNNING! & I am SO looking forward to meeting you next week! 🙂
Love your post, Cassie. Love the pic of you and Paul. Not being in the kitchen is just fine – you need to take a break and enjoy! Love the recap. See you next week!
Love the picture of you and Paul. I’m so easily destructed and can’t put priorities in order when there are so many things going on and I get really stressed (like right now…), and it’s great that you are doing well and you inspired me to figure out and live better! 🙂 Gorgeous peonies…so elegant!
Loved all this fun family goodness you packed into the weekend. What is it about Memorial Day that just begs for watermelons?
I’m so glad you’re loving your new job! And those flowers are gorgeous. All I have is a patio with a dead basil plant that I’m too lazy to dispose of. Oh well.
Btw, you are absolutely gorgeous in that picture with Paul!
I so enjoy getting a peek into the lives of fellow bloggers 🙂 looks like so much fun!
very nice to know things are going awesome on your side
