Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice
Earlier this year I posted some of my favorite make-at-home seasoning mixes. I love at-home versions of popular store-bought items, especially when it comes to seasonings. Usually seasoning mixes are quite pricey and very often they contain some ingredients that can be difficult to pronounce!
The seasoning of the season, without a doubt is pumpkin pie spice. I have actually been waiting to run out of the store-bought mix so that I could make some of my own.
I hope your Thanksgiving recipes are planned and that you are as excited as I am for this food-lover’s holiday! I’m actually a bit relieved that I’m not cooking the whole dinner because I cannot imagine narrowing my menu down after all of the wonderful dishes I’ve seen recently.

Very nice. I like the Ranch seasoning one. I checked right away to see if you included the Pumpkin Pie seasoning. That one is so easy to make from spices most would have in their cabinets, and cheaper than buying the mix.
Nice post 🙂 I do this all the time now. It seriously saves so much money. I did a batch of pumpkin pie spice this year and I’ve been able to use it in 5 different desserts and I still have a lot left for maybe 2-3 more. It’s great! 🙂
Cassie, lovely post. I’m a great fan of homemade spice mixes. You can totally customise them to get the flavours you love and once mixed, they cut down on future prep time. Definitely trying your combos – first the chilli mix.
I just want to lick all of those seasonings.
I was just talking to hubby about making home made ranch. I dont like ranch much either, I never order it out, but home made would be totally different I think!
I love to make my own spices. It is easy and far cheaper! You have got some great ones here. Great post!
Such a great idea to have these on hand!
Great mixes! Way better than buying them for sure!
These are simple and easy, thanks for sharing!
This is a real money saver of a post. Why buy all the mixes when you have everything to make these! There are some ones I do not have so I am glad I stopped in. Thanks for sharing these mixes.
Cassie…what a great idea! Funny how I will throw things together at the last minute. But I’ve never thought to create my own seasonings to have on hand! I love your seasoning choices…especially the season of the season! : )
Love these!! So smart to have these on hand. What a time saver!
I love home made seasoning mixes and thank you for adding some more to my pantry! These are great recipes to have on hand in a pinch!
These are all so great, Cassie! I can think of at least one thing to make with each one and they would make great gifts for fellow foodies!
You have inspired me to make my own seasonings! I am baking pumpkin pie on Wednesday and I am out of pumpkin pie spice so I am definitely using this recipe for pumpkin pie spice!
Delicious! ….and a GREAT idea! I have something that I’ve made for years that I all “Ann’s Blend” that is delicious on just about everything! I’m thinking it might be time to post it!
I love the thought of making homemade spices. Great idea!
All these spices are wonderful and I’m really interested in trying making these (and maybe a good gift option?). Starting with Pumpkin Pie Spice, I think!
This is wonderful. I adore home made spices.
These are just great! Homemade spices mixes are wonderful. I’ll need to make these to have on hand, thanks!
Oooh! I love your ranch mix 🙂 I will absolutely use that!
they all sound great! i love making my own spice mixes at home.
Excellent post! I hate those prepackaged mixes…I’m going to have to try your ranch. Have a great Thanksgiving, Cassie! xo
I am right there with you when it comes to making homemade seasoning mixes. Happy Thanksgiving, Cassie!
Thanks for sharing your spice mixtures, sometimes those ones at the store are so expensive! Happy Thanksgiving!
I used to love making my own spice cominations, but now that those premade cominations aren’t always available here, whenever I see them, I grab them! I love your chili spice the most, it sounds wonderful!
Can’t go wrong with these spice mixes! Definitely gonna have to try my hand at that Ranch one!
I’m waiting for my store bought mixes to run out too so I can replace them all with homemade ones. These all look great, I’m intrigued by the ranch one since I also love the flavours but not the dressing so much…have a happy Thanksgiving Cassie!!
This is just so helpful! Thank you so much for this post!!!
I like the Chili Seasoning mix. I make my own but yours sounds much better. I like your addition of oregano and basil. Sounds wonderful! I will make it when mine is used up. Thanks!
Hi! I was linked here from your buffalo soup to get the ranch seasoning mix. But I don’t see it here. I also clicked your link to other favorite seasonings, but the recipe was for taco/chili seasoning. Help? 🙂
