Cinnamon Toast Greek Yogurt Dip
Tell me what your favorite cereal is. I mean your favorite ever. But I’m talking about the one that you lived on as a kid. Or the one that your mom wouldn’t buy because it had too much sugar. Or the one that you won’t buy as an adult because you have no self-control and you would eat the whole box in one sitting. Oh, just I do that?
I should really get some self-control.
Because here’s mine:
I bet you hadn’t guessed it. I (again!) fell victim to Target and the strategic way they place their goods. They just knew that I was going to walk right by the display of cereal. And they just knew that I had been dreaming up a dip that dreams of tasting like my favorite cereal. They just knew that I never buy cereal.
They knew all of that. So what did I do? I bought a box anyway, because, well, I really needed to make this dip. Remember when I dreamed up this one? Right. You just don’t ignore dreams like this. Right?!?
Paul and I were at my mom and dad’s house one weekend where there is always a plethora of cereal. And I literally woke up thinking about how I could make a dip that tasted like cinnamon toast crunch.
And here it is. A dip that is, surprisingly, healthy. Thank you, Oikos. A dip that will give the fruit at any baby shower, bridal shower, Bunko night or picnic a cinnamon-y sweet twist. A dip that tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, my friends!

Cinnamon Toast Greek Yogurt Dip
Yield: 1-1/2 cups
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Healthy, creamy fruit dip made with Greek yogurt that hopes to emulate the flavors of Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Ingredients:
1 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt (I used fat-free)
2 Tbs. 1/3-less fat cream cheese
3 Tbs. powdered sugar
2 Tbs. light brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla extractDirections:
Mix yogurt and cream cheese in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in powdered sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and mix until well-blended.
Transfer to a serving bowl and chill for at least one hour.
When ready to serve, garnish with cereal on top, if desired. Serve with fruit, graham crackers, marshmallows, etc.
Cassie's Notes:
I made this twice: once with some cereal stirred in and once without. I liked without much better as the cereal got very soggy the longer it sat. If you served this, and planned for it to be eaten quickly, I would recommend stirring in some cereal, the added crunch was good while it lasted!
Awesome. I’m not a big cereal eating fan (although I used to love Golden Grahams). But this is my kids favorite cereal, hands down. LOVE THIS!!!
cinnamon toast crunch’s #1 fan here. you can guess how much i’m drooling over this healthy dip Cassie!
Cinnamon Toast Crunch is my favorite! I need to make this ASAP!
Ooh my hubby would love this!! 🙂 Me too 😉
You have the best ideas EVER!!!!!
HOW did you come up with this. This will be perfect for our beach trip this weekend! I’m packin’ it up and takin’ it with me!
CTC was my brother’s, I was all about Lucky Charms (still am). When I’m traveling for work if the hotel breakfast has that in it’s cereal rotation, it inevitably ends up in my bowl.
This is an awesome idea!
Yum!! Alpha Bits were my favorite. Did you ever see those? They were little alphabet-shaped cereal pieces, and there was a marshmallow variety too. So yummy!
This dip looks faaabulous. Maybe almost just as good as eating the cereal straight out of the box. 😉
Love those cinnamon crunchy bites….they are great to eat with smoothies too.
I felt so deprived…my parents never bought us any presweetened cereals till my 3rd sister was born. I was a huge fan of Life…and it would be wonderful dipped in this 🙂
wow this is amazing!! cinnamon toast crunch is one of my all time childhood favorites and the fact that you used greek yogurt to make it taste like cinnamon toast is so smart and creative!! healthy and sweet at the same time is a great combination!
I love cinnamon toast crunch! This is awesome!!!!! 😀
Oh momma! This would be hard to use self-control around.
Cinnamon toast crunch was totally my favorite cereal in middle school! I love this creative yogurt dip. What great flavors.
C.T. Crunch is one of my fave cereals ever. This dip is perfect!
oh yum! this sounds awesome. now, if you can come up with a creative use of my favorite cereal, lucky charms, i’ll love you forever!
My absolute favorite cereal when I was growing up was honey nut cheerios. That stuff tasted good with milk and also by itself as I would take a handful of it in a ziploc baggie to school.
This yogurt dip looks great. Maybe I’ll try something similar with my favorite cereal 🙂
I loved me some CTC, but I also had a major love for Golden Grahams. But I had the mom who would always buy that nasty cereal, so kids loved to stay the night at my house to get all hopped up on Cookie Crisp in the morning 🙂
Seriously genius!!!
COCOA PEBBLES. COCOOOOAAAAAA PEEEBBBBLLLEESSS.
I had cinnamon toast crunch for breakfast. LOL I looked at the shreddies and raisin bran next to the box but CTC won out! This looks delicious cassie!
Reese’s Puffs, duh! It’s only like the BESTEST cereal ever!! This sounds fabulous!
I do love cinnamon and this dip looks delicious. I am thinking of all the things that you can dip in there, cinnamon does compliment a lot of food! Have a great weekend!
This looks insanely delicious and is the perfect dip for apples! They were made for each other!
This looks Yuuumy!
Cereal is addicting is it not? Cinnamon Toast Crunch was definitely one of my faves…as was Fruity Pebbles…but the cereal that I was hooked on for YEARS was Oh’s…you know, with the clusters on the inside of the Oh’s…I’d eat it until the inside of my mouth was raw. All of this to say, your Greek yogurt dip looks fantastic. I’d love to shmear it all over toast like five times a day. Nice!
This really looks delicious and healthy, I am saving the recipe, my 3 year old granddaughter is coming next week and this will be prfect for her to eat with apples. Very nice.
L O V E! I bet this tasted so, so gooood!
anything using cinnamon toast is a WINNER!
what a great idea!
OH MY GOODNESS!! I need this!! Cassie you are so creative! Stunning recipe!! xx
I actually never had this cereal until maybe a month ago. I won a giveaway of this cereal on someone’s blog and whole family had a chance to taste it. IT WAS DELICIOUS! I “had to” call it vacation cereal in front of the kids, so I can’t really eat it unless I hide it somewhere…. but it was yummy! This yogurt dip must be delicious with the cereal on top. I can imagine the taste!
I have never been a cereal eater even as a kid. I’m not sure why but it just never appealed to me. I ave to say that this dip sounds utterly delicious!
You’re so amazingly clever! Love this idea!
What a great dream to reality recipe! My favorite cereal is Golden Grahams. I feel like Golden Grahams is a competitor to Cinnamon Toast Crunch. There’s the Golden Grahams fan and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch fan. Imagine my disappointment when my own son chose the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Oh yes, we did have a cereal contest to see which was the best. I’m still a Golden Graham girl. 🙂
I think I was the only strange kid who didn’t like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. But I’m loving all the ingredients in this dip (especially the Greek yogurt) and I can’t wait to try it! 🙂
Did you ever try the Peanut Butter Toast Crunch that was out for a short time? It was my favorite cereal ever! I also love the Cinnamon Toast variety and I’m sure I would inhale this dip!
I fall victim to Target more than I should even admit too 🙂 Love this cereal and this dip!
I loveeee cinnamon toast crunch too! This dip looks amazing!!
What a nifty dip! I can almost taste it. 🙂
I could eat this entire bowl with just a spoon in one sitting! What a fabulous recipe! 🙂
Wait a freakin’ tick… o.O
You went there… THERE!!
*thunk, drop, dead*
Mmmmmmm. I’m not a fan of cereal, except basic things like Cornflakes and Shreddies because mornings and stomaches…eugh. But this dip I could totally get behind. With the apple slices? Perfect!
Yes! I am totally in love with this.
I could eat this with a spoon. YUM.
